Is Animal or Human Sacrifice Part of Satanism?

Because of the internet, many people are gaining access to information and the lies about Satanism are being dispelled. During the Satanic Panic of the 1980s the mainstream media-sensationalized occult crimes and portrayed Satanism as a collection of bloodthirsty cults. This propaganda struck fear into the hearts of many and drove people away from Satan.

Recently 60 Minutes Australia uploaded a video labeled “Teresa's daring escape from brutal 'satanic cult' and bizarre rituals”. The video received more than 130 000 views at the time. Since posting the sermon “Satanic Ritual Abuse and Occult Crimes” 60 Minutes Australia have set the video to private.

This motivated us to do some searching and we found another investigative story about Satanic animal sacrifice on their platform. The title of the video speaks volumes: “ Teens cruel 'sacrificial' offering to Satan in a quiet country town”. We are going to look at some of the claims made in this story.

The Story of John Burdoe and Satanic Animal Sacrifice

The story of John Burdoe is an interesting one that centers around a young teen who sacrificed animals in “Satanic” rituals, started a cult, and shared how he almost murdered one of his followers. According to the information on the video, many of these events took place in a quiet, respectable, and “God-fearing” country town.

John Burdoe sacrificed sheep as an offering to Satan in some of his rituals. When confronted about this he claims that it had to do with the Biblical symbolism of the sacrificial lamb. Of course, there is nothing like this in true Satanic doctrine.

Wayne, who was a friend of John at the time, states that he felt guilty in the days that followed after committing a brutal animal sacrifice. That is exactly what these rituals are designed to do; many of them are written by Christian authors who know nothing of true Satanic beliefs. They want to drive people as far away from Satan as possible.

Another one of John’s followers couldn’t live with the shame and guilt and eventually committed suicide by hanging himself. This is an extremely unfortunate result that came from the suppression of Satanic information and the corrupt propaganda spewed out from Christian authors. 

Who initiated John Burdoe into Satanism and where did he get his information from? The video states that John searched in the occult section of his local library. Here we see a story of a teen who is desperately searching for the truth while turning to the only information that was available to him at the time.

In today’s day and age, the internet is available to large parts of the world and information is getting easier to come by. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case in the 1980s and most of the information about true Satanism was heavily suppressed. If one wanted to learn about Satan or the occult they had to turn to Christian sources.

John Burdoe who obviously had no background knowledge or experience states that he initiated himself into Satanism. Of course, it was very unlikely that he had any true knowledge of Satanism. This is an obvious case of the blind leading the blind as much of his information came from corrupted sources.

The Christian Bible is filled to the brim with animal sacrifice. There are sections in the Bible where Jehova orders the genocide of entire cities because they refused to sacrifice animals.

This is the information that Christian authors draw upon when writing about Satanism and the occult.

Most of these Christian and New Age authors know nothing about Satanism and mistakenly assume that Satan is the same as their own bloodthirsty God. Even today information about true Satanism is being suppressed and for every Satanist that writes a sermon, there are a thousand Christian authors publishing books and mainstream media outlets promoting corrupt propaganda.

This is extremely immoral as no thought is given to the consequences of publishing such evil misinformation that will fall into the hands of impressionable youth. These people only care about making a quick buck and don’t worry about the families and lives they are ruining with their lies.
