What I learned about good and evil and religion

To be evil or good is an internal spiritual condition. This is what Maat weighing the souls to judge them meant. Evil is a more heavy and dense internal state.

Righteous thought is more important than righteous action. People following religious laws out of a fear of punishment only doesn't make a person good. These same people would rape kill steal and destroy did they not think the law was there or applied to them and without the belief in a higher power.

Being a good person is an internal step of elevating ones consciousness and evolving to a better person. Growing in knowledge and applying it. Following the spirit of the law mindlessly not understanding it or why it exists doesn't make one good.

A person can be the most kind ethical and honest person and be pure evil in their heart.

I hope people realize this. This is something I learned and experienced.

A long ago while hanging out with a friend I asked him if he considers me a bad person. I cant remember the context. However he said I am not a bad person, but evil. Is a difference.

Judgement for sins and unrighteous thinking and action is a part of nature to be honest people can try to escape it every day pretend they are happy have fun etc but judgement is inescapable they won't see it coming. The coffin is a place we all go someday both good and evil. We better have become good people and lived a life we don't regret. In the end it may be too late once judgement is upon a person and they are 6 feet under in the ground.

That's why we should become enlightened and live in reality now not later we know not the day or hour Judgement may come.
