The bija mantras or the seed sounds (vibrations) are also found in longer mantras. As Don clarified,

I would say yes GD, because sound is frequency, or vibration. Tesla said in a famous quote:

"If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."

(I actually have a big ass article related to this subject I haven't posted yet) But yes, I would add I'm convinced the ancients knew all about this science, and that this is how they were able to construct the pyramids, using sound frequency.

This ancient science of energetic sound, vibrating it into yourself for benefit is backed up I think, when one considers different frequencies create different geometry as demonstrated here with what they are calling cymatics (sacred geometry):

The key pranayama in Yoga is the alternative nostril breath. This breath is supposed to go into the central channel to clean, purify and empower the chakra's and nadi's its connected to Kundalini energy in the texts. Many texts consider it a source Kundalini pranayama. However its not being taught properly that includes on the JoS or the mainstream.

This prana energy has to move into the sushumna channel. However the way its being taught the energy of the breath moves into the side channels not the central channels it moves into the wrong channels.

The proper way to do this pranayama is in the rare Tantra's [esoteric text] you have to make the Mula banda and place the tongue to the roof of the mouth while performing the alternative nostril breathing. This moves the energy into the sushumna channel and allows it to travel into the 72,000 nadis, chakras and energy body proper and into the third eye which is the center of the skull and active the amrita and flow it through the channels. This proper method does not seem to be taught outside of the esoteric Indian world.

When I was being trained to teach yoga, we had yoga bootcamp, 8 hour days of doing yoga and exercises etc...we had an indian man teaching us. He was so incredibly flexible and powerful. That is how he had us doing the alternative nostril breathing. Just as you say, make the mula banda and place the tongue to the roof of the mouth. It was very powerful. It made me feel almost like I was stoned or something. Light headed and buzzed.

He told me when he began his practice, he had terrible pain in all his joints yet as he progressed, all that left him and he became the physically powerful flexible man I knew. He was such a nice man. Very knowledgable. He had wonderful energy.

Thanks for clarification, and I will make sure to use it when it comes to elemental balancing workings, as well as to contact Higher Powers.

I agree that there is the power of sound that wad used to build the ancient Egyptian pyramids.

Though it may not necessarily apply to mantras, I would like to add that the power of sound is also having the ability to "construct" a very powerful aura around the person listening to the sound specific to their needs. It's about aligning the sequence harmoniously for various needs, such as purification, opening oneself to the higher power he wishes to contact, and even to have some of the desired planetary attributes to their eteric body.

That is why most potent planet meditations are those who combine both the specific frequencies in Hertz (Hz) and also the necessary words that need to be vibrated. Like Planetary Square for Sun, combined with the harmonious 126.22 Hz Sun frequency while doing the Sun planetary square.
