Chandra Lung The Rainbow Body Practice

Chandra Lung is the ancient text on the Rainbow Body practice.

The problem has been the mainstream practices such as you find on the JoS and New age sites and some Hindu books such as Arthur Avalon's book on a system of practice from the Sat Chakra text he published. These practices amplify the energy field this means all the negative energy and energy blockages also get amplified and expanded. This creates nothing but problems in the persons life, mind, emotions and physical health. The reason why so many people in the JoS had intense problems identical to New Agers who use the same practices is because the effects are the same. This can lead to insanity, death, ill health, lack of success in life and negative results in magical workings for money, health, relationships. This is why so many people in the Jos and the New Age have the same problems.

The proper practice is the fire practice of Chandra Lung, this burns all the negative energies out and clears all blockages. This pushes the fire into the central nadi and it flows though all the chakras, nadi's and energy bodies into the physical body and aura. The Chandra Lung practice is the major Tummo practice used in Tibet. Tummo which means inner fire. The Chandra Lung is the main practice of the Rainbow Body practices in Tibet. This practice is listed as the main practice for building the rainbow body.

The practice is simple.

Sit down and make the mula banda then place the tongue on the center of the roof of the mouth this is the fire circuit and its the fire position in Taoism you can find it there if you need a diagram to understand were to place the tongue the hands are held in Chin munda. Perform the breath of fire for 28 times [the pumping of the navel forcing the breath out and in] then hold the breath for 20 seconds keeping the mula banda in place and the tongue on the center of the roof of the mouth. Then release the breath hold with breathing out through the nostrils. Keep mula banda with the tongue on the fire position on the roof of the mouth the whole time.

This is practiced for 30 minutes a day.

In my own experience of using this practice normally over years its powerful and it clears all the negative energies and blockages out used daily in time. Its also powerful in how it develops the aura and energy bodies and opens the psyche up. You will feel your aura on fire with chi fire in my experience with how powerful this practice can get. This cleared out all the problems I was having from years of doing the New Age/JoS practices. After awhile workings for money and success also become more powerful.

Thank you for posting this useful information, Don :)

I agree that the JoS system didn't explain necessary steps as related to the energetic expansion, including that if you do it wrong or New Age way, you can actually expand your negative blockages.

I think that you may feel your aura is on fire because of a lot of Sun energies arising from such practices and also, due to the activation of all the nadis and chakras.

I will try to do it, even daily if possible.

Chandra Lung increases the ability for Reiki healing, Reiki is a Tibetan system its a healing hand system. I was able to heal a person of stage three bladder cancer in several weeks with Reiki I have the Reiki master level but its the Chandra Lung practice which creates the power to heal. The rainbow body practice is the power practice. This person only had three to four years left to live but now they are healthy and alive.

I am glad to hear that @Don Danko333 :)

First and foremost, I wish you good health and luck within your spiritual practices.

Second of all, I have just researched a bit more on the Chandra Lung technique and I have also encountered information about Tummo, the Tibetan Goddess of passion and fire. I must say I felt a lot of fire related energies related to your post.

An interesting question I would like to ask is, is this related to the Magnum Opus? Or this is a different practice?

Thanks again, Don, your posts are really informative

Here is the text I have encountered:

In Tibetan Buddhism, tummo (Tibetan: གཏུམ་མོ, Wylie: gtum-mo; Sanskrit: चण्डाली, romanized: caṇḍālī) is the fierce goddess of heat and passion. Tummo is found in the Mahasiddha Krishnacarya and the Hevajra Tantra texts.

Tummo is also a tantric practice for inner heat, developed around the concept of the female deity. It is found in the Six Dharmas of Naropa, Lamdre, Kalachakra, and Anuyoga teachings of Vajrayana. The purpose of tummo is to gain control over body processes during the completion stage of Anuyoga or Anuttarayoga Tantra ('highest yoga tantra').

The practice begins by visualizing the body's energy channels, winds, drops, and chakras. Inner heat, generated through specific breath-holding exercises, helps vital winds enter the central channel, leading to blissful experiences. The practice also involves focusing on seed syllables at the chakras and combining them with meditation on emptiness. Over time, practitioners aim to master this process, achieving heightened states of clarity, inner heat, and bliss.

Inner heat (gtum mo, skt. chandali, literally meaning "fierce, hot or savage woman") practice is the foundation for the rest of the six dharmas and is the first of the six dharmas. This practice works with the subtle body (also known as the vajra-body) system of channels (nadis), winds (lung, vayu), drops (bindus) and chakras. Through inner heat, the vital winds are caused to enter into the central channel (avadhuti), causing the four blisses or joys which is then unified with the wisdom that understands emptiness.

This practice is a kind of pranayama, that generally involves sitting with a straight back, visualizing the channels, holding the breath deep in the abdomen for extended periods (called "vase breath", kumbhaka), then applying visualization of a fiery short stroke AH syllable on the navel. This practice leads the vital winds into the central channel, where they are said to melt the drops (bindus, which are tiny spheres of subtle energy) causing great bliss. This powerful bliss experience "is said to constitute a similitude of the actual bliss experienced in spiritual awakening (byang chub, bodhi)."

According to Glenn Mullin, tantric scriptures state that the tantric bliss experienced in this practice is "a hundred times more intense than ordinary sexual orgasm, [and] gives rise to a special state of consciousness."[11] This ecstatic state of mind is then used to contemplate emptiness. This "ecstasy conjoined with (the wisdom of) emptiness" is what is referred to as Mahamudra ('Great Seal').
