I spent over a decade being my own guinea pig, studying my dreams, working on my dream recall. During that period of time I was extremely dedicated. I basically lived my life to sleep where I could study my dreams. And I can tell you that what we call deja vu is something that happens because we're shown something in the dreamtime. It's strong dreaming.

You are shown something that is going to happen in the waking life. The information is most often shown to the dreamer in the language of symbols but sometimes it happens that the dream will show you something that is literal, conversation, the location, everything exactly as it eventually comes to pass in the waking life.

For example, I had a dream I was in a public place having a massive fight with my best friend. As we were yelling at one another, a bystander said: “Why don't you take this outside?” I woke up feeling like: No way! We're best friends! But 6 months later, it happened for real. Everything we said, what that bystander said, everything. And so when the bystander said that comment, I had a massive deja vu. Went home, checked the dream journals, and there it was in writing, dated at least six months prior.

People always wonder what deja vu is. It's you recognizing in the waking life that this moment is familiar to you because you were shown it already in the dreamtime.
