What do you call this ability?

When I look at photos of, let's say a nature photo of mountains and trees with a lake, I feel some kind of emotion. I can also feel as though I'm there, I can smell the air, the leaves of the trees, the flowers as well. I can hear the birds. I can feel peaceful as if I was there, the same feeling when you're outdoors in nature. If there's an old cabin, I can feel as though I'm inside, I can see and feel how it was living in it. I feel a certain way looking at photos, whatever the photo is showing.

There's clairvoyance and others. What would you call this?

I think you're describing a kind of knowing, or far seeing coupled with feeling - the empathy to pick up on the atmosphere there (noises, air smells, etc). I think what you're describing is clairsentience, an intuitive knowing through feeling. You're feeling the vibration of other people, animals and places.

Examples of clairsentience can range from perception of thoughts and emotions in other people, to sensing their illnesses and injuries. Can include picking up on emotional, even physical pain of land where atrocities have happened or the jealousy, insecurity, fear, or displeasure in others; This ability differs from clairvoyance because the knowledge is coming from a feeling in the body. (I have this one)

And then there is also clairsalience which means intuitive smell. This means picking up on a fragrance or odor of a substance, person, place, or animal not in one's surroundings. These are picked up on without the use of the physical nose and beyond the limitations of ordinary time and space.

You sound like you are very psychic.

Hows the dream recall going?

I spent a lot of time with a group of psychics, we would do exercises together to strengthen our abilities. And one of these was a double blind experiment: one person picked images of famous places (example the great pyramid or the eiffel tower etc), and put them into envelopes. These were handed off to one of our group, who brought them to a meeting of ours. And we passed each envelope around, each trying to tune in on the photo and then draw what we see. I got one dead on, one close and the rest...ehh. It was a lot of fun!

Thank you for clarifying clairesentient to me. Yeah, I can feel and get a sense of things like that.

As for the dream recall, it's going. I'm able to recall a lot of the details of the dream. How I felt in dreams do not leave me though. I don't tend to forget that. It's a type of post-dream hangover and helps to remember it for lifetimes I think.

The exercise you did in your psychic group sounds like fun and effective at the same time. It's kind of like remote viewing in a sense.

You're totally welcome :)

I think I spent two years with that group, I found it so interesting and fun to go sit and do this with other people.

I think that one in particular was kind of a combo of clairsentience (knowing by feeling - like a vibration). And intuitive knowledge. Intuitive knowing through touching. Most people I met like this, they had a combination of several clairs. Some stronger than others. There were also people who came once and had zero results, and so never returned.

I remember my Santeria HP (a mentor), he had what he called a wild hunt. Everyone in his coven 'gathered' at 1:00 PM (time zone). Yes, I was a part of his group too. At least, he gave me one on one instruction, answered questions, gave me things to try to do, etc. I think I was with him for maybe three, four years or so. He has people in real life, also members who live all over the world. So at the appointed time, he instructed us; pull out whatever divining tools you have: dowser, tarot, far seeing,....whatever, and concentrate on him. And then 'hunt' him.
The 'hunt' will last for the afternoon.

Write down what you get, send him the results, winner gets the prize.

I decided to go for the far seeing. So, at the appointed time (feeling utterly ridiculous), I put down a yoga mat, put on a sleeping blindfold and laid down in savassanah on it in the hall and then started breathing exercises, and focussing on him. I think I did that for maybe 5, 10 minutes.

At first there was nothing but then, it began with a feeling of motion. which would be logical, since he's probably travelling. And then shapes began to form on the inner screen that coalesced into a mall. seeing what he's seeing. I don't see him, I see what he's seeing. Hurrying through a mall, out the backside, across a parking lot. Cross the street, halfway down the block there's a kind of space between two buildings. turn into it, come out in a big back kind of service lane. Follow this. Big building with large parking lot around it coming up on the left. The sky looks cloudless, hot. Crossing the lot and entering this big building, sinking down into a chair and then....everything goes dark.

so I'm disgusted thinking I fucked up or something. I got up, wrote down what i got, puttered around till suddenly I got the urge to try again. So. This time I see a restaurant. Mexican. blue and white checkered tablecloth. around 5-7 people sitting around a table, eating, talking, laughing. I smell the food. Made me crave mexican myself!

I almost didn't want to send him my results, thinking I was probably totally off

He got back to me and said wow zola! That was damned good! It was a bit shocking, actually. Surprisingly good! You got pretty much everything!
I was like: really?!? OMG!
He said yes, you're the winner!

I said well....why did my inner eye go dark like that? He laughed and said he'd ducked into a movie theatre, watched a movie, then met up with some of the coven he physically knew, and they went for mexican!

I get what you say about a post dream hangover. I get them sometimes, but rarely.
