The Horned God

Post by maddcat0 »

In you guys' opinion/knowledge, who is the Horned God of the witches? And I'm not talking Wiccans. I mean non-Wiccan witches.

Dunno but many stronger Demons/Gods were depicted as having some sort of a horns.

Sometimes this means sexual energy being fully risen up and is showing someone extremely advanced spiritually, with feminine aspects of the soul and masculine strongly connected. Horns also represent Aries, and/or Capricorn, which implies strength, spiritual freedom, spiritual power, energies of those and of male chakras being free and released up to the crown. It can symbolize someone with extremely strong minor head chakras too and open crown chakra, which gives off lots of strong energy, together with pineal gland being activated which fills whole head and energetic field around head with intense light. Sometimes this was depicted as rays of sun, but in some cases even as horns, tho usually on a mistake. I saw this on some artworks with some xian saints too and of Moses. Orrr it implies that this Demon/God simply has some sort of a connection to some real animal, horned one. This is what I know about this subject.

I think that Raum was very popular among many witches and covens from Europe, together with Wotan who is Satan/Lucifer from what I know.

The Roman's mentioned that Cernuous was the Druid Mercury, Odin they also stated was Mercury you can find ancient amulets of Odin all over England showing him as horned, Odin's name comes from the ancient Norse word for spirit, Chi energy. The ancient Roman writers stated the people in the UK practiced the Bacchanalia. Cernuous is also shown as Pashupati in the east another name of Shiva. Pan was stated to be the father of the Gods and relates to the number 108 and the goat form was another of Bacchus. You can note the Bacchanalia was the actual Witch cult in Europe. Cernuous images are all over Europe and America when the Druids came over this includes surviving Druid temples in Oklahoma. Cernuous has seven rings on his horns showing the seven chakras and their negative pole connection into the head this theme is in the east this is also the seven Pleiades. Cernuous holds the ram horned serpent the ascended Kundalini the ram is the ancient symbol of ascension by spiritual transformation. He seems to be the lord of the Earth maybe the son of the Goddess. The earth symbolically represents the physical body being transformed and regenerated by the Goddess the spiritual kundalini. The whole mystic school of Odin is based on ascension.

You know when I was in a coma after my car accident I had a lot of strange experiences, some good some horrifying. I was given a reading as to my state. I was literally between life and death. In the Charge of the Horned God channelled by a witch stated he was the guardian between life and death. So in a reading as I recalled was about earth reaching to ground me and unite to my physical family because in my coma I was told my family was dead! The last card of that reading said I was being protected by Cernunnos the Horned God! Amazing I thought to myself!

I feel the Horned God is real and not just some symbol or "archetype".

The devil stereotype has horns. Are you saying there is a demon with actual horns or spiritual horns in a different way?

That is interesting I am glad your okay. I believe the devil of European folklore was the Christian interpretation of the Horned God.

Depends on who you ask. Most witches who worship the Horned God will say that he doesn't necessarily have to have physical horns. The true "horn" is his penis.
